This weekend, we got to go!! Scott's parents had purchased tickets for us to go on the zipline tour in Catalina for our birthdays. Originally we were planning on spending the night and staying the whole weekend, but after an unfortunate $3000 break down of our ac unit in our house, we decided it would be wiser to just go out for one day.
Even though I thought we might be sad to not stay the night, Catalina did not disappoint us.... we had SOOOOO much fun! I don't have pictures of the zipline yet, as they are all on Scott's phone (I didn't dare try to bring my big camera down a zipline!! :) Other than ziplining (which was AMAZING), we mostly just walked around, ate yummy food, and enjoying watching the ocean, the boats, and the people of the little island. I had booked the earliest and latest boat rides possible, so we were literally "stuck" there ALLL day. It gave us so much time to just sit and talk about nothing and everything and was a great great date - even better than the first time :)
Here are a few photos of us from our first trip out there in 2005:

And here are lots of pictures from this weekend. I am not sure if it was because it was 6am, or the fact that it was still so dark the flash was necessary, but I could NOT get a photo of my eyes open....so here we are on the boat ride over:
Breakfast at Sally's Waffle Shop
Good to know..... child safety is important even while driving golf carts!
A cool rain gutter system
A fountain Scott liked
Boats we contemplated trying to sneak out on
some stairs I thought were cool :)
we got to witness three weddings throughout the day... all at the same spot :)
There was a huge annual canoe race going on... these canoes were lined up along the shore for miles it seemed like!
This guy was showing off for the camera... the more people that took photos of him the more excited he got!

These photos were taken in literally the SAME spot as the photos from 2005

The End!!! Sadly, we left some sick kids with Grandma. This is what we came home to!! Poor little guys!
