I think Scott and I are finally comfortable with each other. Maybe a little TOOO comfortable..... as yesterday was our four year anniversary and neither one of us even attempted to plan anything. ha. I started the day off by sleeping through the alarm and not making a lunch for him, and then followed it up with several really annoying phone calls to him at work because I thought someone was breaking in to our garage (it was really the wind).
Well, amazingly, later in the day, the Lord provided me with a very last minute BABYSITTER!!! yes, a babysitter!!! My friend Jennifer Canning said she was doing absolutely nothing and would love to come over and watch my children :) YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Well, we took her up on it and quickly headed off to a WONDERFUL evening by ourselves. We ate a lovely dinner, complements of Scott's Grandma Jean (thank you Grandma :) :) ), and then we went over to Grandpa's house (he gets cable :) ), and watched a few of our favorite tv shows that we never get to see.
I know, we are crazy adventurous people.... dinner and a free movie at "home" :) But it was LOVELY... mostly because we got to be together and didn't have to spend our happy awake evening hours feeding, bathing, and lovingly putting two children to bed, or taking care of things around our home (which we love to do..... MOST of the time :) ). and I love that we are so comfortable with one another that its OK to not have grand plans - I love Scott so much, and the longer we are married the more I just want to be near him no matter what we are doing - even if it would have been just putting two kids to bed.
Ok, I could go on about all the billion ways I love my oh-so-busy and hard working and caring and funny and godly and loving husband, however I think I have used enough words already explaining our evening.... so I will just say that I LOVE him to death, and that I am so thankful for all the little ways that God has blessed our lives and our marriage and our relationship in ways that we definitely don't deserve!
