Kali May - 18 Months!!

It has been so strange to not take a chair picture every month... I was really excited to get to do another one.

Here is our cute little grown up baby at 18 months!! :)
And here is probably a more accurate picture of her... hehe...trying SO hard to say CHEESE for me :)
I LOVE this picture.... mostly because it struck me as so cute how she is so seriously trying to water the tree and make it grow, but is actually watering herself. And I think God is growing her WAY more than the tree lately anyways... so it is very fitting :)
....and this is my baby girl in the morning :) :)

I love my baby girl SO much. She is so much fun to be around, and it is so amazing to see her learn new things every day. She can now run around the house and up and down our stairs (we're working on always asking permission!) and get in to all kinds of trouble :) She LOVES brushing her teeth, and I will regularly find a pile of 2-3 tubes of toothpaste sitting all in one random location. She is trying to figure out praying.. mostly confused by why we all close our eyes and hold hands, but she likes it a lot and especially will ask daddy to pray with her 2-3 times before she wants to eat. She is testing everything out, including figuring out how many times we will say "no" to something before disciplining her...which is making me work on my OWN discipline in being faithful and consistent for her!

Kali May loves to eat... she is not too picky, although bananas, frozen blueberries, and hot dogs seem to be her current favorites. She is VERY good at saying thank you...she will usually say it not only when she gets something, but also when she gives something to you. "Bye "bye is another one of her favorites. Please and Hello she does MOST of the time, but they aren't as easy as the other two. And pretty much any other word that you ask her to say, she will say now! it is so weird to have her be able to talk... especially when I will hear her repeating me around the house...saying things like "all right!" or "ok!" totally out of context and at random times. My favorite is that she has now started calling Scott "Babe" instead of dad. I guess I should use "dad" a little more often from now on.... :) Oh, and my other favorite is that she says I love you now. She will blow you a kiss, then make an attempt at the sign for it, and then say "luw you."

So far, she seems to be taking mostly after her daddy....and her aunty megan. She is always either taking something apart and trying to figure out how it works (like daddy) OR....she is looking for a purse, some chapstick, and some jewelry to adorn herself with! (aunty megan). Both of them are very cute qualities and she cracks me up all the time!

Ok, well I could go on forever telling random things about Kali May.... but mostly I just love her to death and am so thankful for her!

Birthdays!

Scott and I just celebrated are birthdays again... although amazingly we didn't get any older this year! :)

For my birthdays, my Uncle Joe and Uncle Phil came over to help us celebrate :) We had tons of fun hanging out, and they made friends with the kids very quickly :) They took my out to dinner AND breakfast the next day (I know, I'm spoiled), AND gave me a teapot that brews blooming flowers in it (see picture below...although it is after the tea is gone so it is not quite as pretty)!! It was very cool, and also came with around 8 different types of tea leaves and some raw stevia leaves for making all kinds of yummy tea.

On top of all that, Scott got me a brand new coffee maker and coffee grinder. They are amazing - my coffee tastes SOO much better in the morning. Between the tea and coffee, it has been REALLY easy to get up in the morning lately :)

For Scott's birthday, we were pretty low key because we were going to Bible Study that night. Scott doesn't REALLY like sweets, so I decided to make him a cake he would really like..... bbq ribs!!! See picture below of Kali May helping him blow out the candle :) We also had stuffed mushrooms, and Kali May helped him open his presents of course too. Caleb slept through the whole celebration. THEN, Scott's mom came over to watch the kids so we could head off to Bible Study kid free. It was a GREAT night :)

Scott and I were also spoiled by all our parents, although we had already opened some of our gifts early.... as we can't wait when we know we have a present :) :) We were SOOOOO spoiled by everyone.... and we are so thankful for all that God has blessed us with in life that we don't deserve... mainly our family and friends!!!
