BIG SISTER :)
Number two is on the way! I think most anyone who might read this blog probably already knows this and knows the story, but the "short" version is that I was scheduled to have surgery to remove a cyst in my right ovary last week. However, when we went in for the pre-opp appointment, my doctor did an ultrasound to look at the cyst one more time, and he found a little extra treasure in there!!!
Our baby is about six weeks along, and we're very excited. Except for the whole morning sickness part... I'm really not enjoying or very excited about that at all. Thankfully so far this week I have only been sick in the mornings - I'm praying it stays that way (or goes away altogether - I could definitely handle NOT throwing up any more)!
Also, in case you are wondering about the cyst, we are not absolutely sure what kind it is, but as long as it does not grow, my doctor does not see any "extra" risk being added to this pregnancy. And, if it DOES grow, it is possible to do surgery during my second trimester. Who knew you could have surgery on your ovary while you were pregnant!?!
So anyways, we are not worried at all (seriously!) because we know that God is in control of this whole situation and He is watching out for our baby much better than we could :) It was so funny... when we found out, the first thing that Scott said was "PHEW! I thought with this surgery and everything, our kids were going to be really far apart in age...like two years maybe even!" :) :) We both would love to have our kids close in age, and so it seems like at this moment that God is granting us that! :) We'll keep you posted on any surgery updates, but Lord willing I won't need to have surgery until AFTER Baby Mallon #2 arrives!
